Note: If you're using MS Office 2007 or later version please follow this excellent article on how to enable Developer toolbar:
You can use your chart inside a PowerPoint presentation. Please note that you will still need all the files associated with the chart.
Open your PowerPoint presentation. Go to the slide where you would like to insert the chart.
Click on View > Toolbars > Control Toolbox.
Find the More Controls button - it looks like a crossed hammer and wrench. It should be the last button on the toolbar.
Scroll down to Shockwave Flash Object.
Click and drag on your slide to create the Flash object. (The chart will conform to the size you give it here, unless the settings specifically say otherwise.)
Right-click on the Flash object and click on Properties.
Doubleclick the first row in the table - (Custom). A new window will open, called Property Pages.
The first text box in the window is Movie
URL.
The Movie
URL is the location of the SWF file (the actual chart), plus two parameters - the location of the data file and the location of the settings file. If you have kept the file and folder names of the distribution package, the Movie
URL should look like this:
ampie/ampie.swf?data_file=ampie/ampie_data.xml&settings_file=ampie/ampie_settings.xml
Click OK to save the
URL.
Please note: the chart will not appear in the editing mode of PowerPoint. You need to actually view the slide show to see the chart. You can do this by pressing F5 on your keyboard.
